Alliance of Grandparents Against SIDS Tragedy
AGAST provides grief support to grandparents of SIDS victims via trained peer contacts (grandparents who have survived the experience) as well as support groups and outreach. The internet site includes memorials, information, links to discussion groups, support groups and grief support resources.

American SIDS Institute

The American SIDS Institute is dedicated to the prevention of SIDS and the promotion of infant health through research, clinical services, education and family support. They provide information on SIDS research, perform sleep studies and do public education.


Association of SIDS and Infant Mortality Programs

The Association of SIDS and Infant Mortality Programs (ASIP, formerly ASPP, Association of SIDS Program Professionals) is an association of health and human service providers committed to bereavement support and risk reduction activities. ASIP promotes programs of counseling, education, advocacy, and research to ensure a supportive community response for those affected by infant and child death and to reduce the risk of death for future children.

This campaign is sponsored by the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development, the Maternal and Child Health Bureau, the American Academy of Pediatrics, the SIDS Alliance, and the Association of SIDS and Infant Mortality Programs.

CJ Foundation for SIDS
The CJ Foundation for Sudden Infant Death Syndrome is a nationwide voluntary health organization dedicated to recognizing the special needs of the SIDS community through funding SIDS research and support services. The Foundation hopes to increase public awareness of SIDS and to contribute to a future in which no parent is faced with the tragedy of losing a loved one to SIDS.

he March of Dimes is a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects and infant mortality.

The National Center for Cultural Competence seeks to address issues related to the divisions of race, ethnicity and culture through training, technical assistance and consultation; networking, linkages and information exchange; and knowledge and product development and dissemination.

National Institute of Child Health and Human Development
The NICHD Administers a multidisciplinary program of research, training, and public information, nationally and within its own facilities, on reproductive biology and population issues; on prenatal development as well as maternal, child and family health; and on medical rehabilitation.

National SIDS Resource Center
The Center provides information services and technical assistance to promote understanding of SIDS and provide comfort to those affected by SIDS through information sharing. Sponsored by the Maternal and Child Health Bureau (MCHB), Health Resources and Services Administration, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, NSRC assists State MCHB-supported projects.

National SIDS and Infant Death Support Center Program
Working in harmony to enhance and strengthen community-based, family-centered SIDS & infant death risk reduction and bereavement services throughout the United States.

SIDS Alliance First Candle
SIDS Alliance exists to promote infant health and survival during the prenatal period through two years of age. This is done through advocacy, education and research. SIDS and Other Infant Death bereavement services are a critical component of our mission.

Full service website providing support for those touched by SIDS and information for public and professionals, peer counseling, support groups, counseling and referrals. Literature, educational materials and public service announcements are available.
