Compassionate Friends National Website

The Compassionate Friends is a national nonprofit, self-help support organization that offers friendship and understanding to bereaved parents, grandparents and siblings. There is no religious affiliation and there are no membership dues or fees.

MISS Foundation
The MISS Foundation is a non-profit volunteer-based organization dedicated to the emergency and ongoing support of grieving families who’ve lost and infant or young child to any cause. The organization works to promote public awareness to decrease infant mortality and to educate on grief surrounding death. They run support groups around the country, advocate for legislation at the state level and provide a wide variety of memorials and information exchange for families.

Share Atlanta

Share Atlanta is a non-profit organization dealing with pregnancy and newborn loss. It is organized by volunteers who are healed bereaved parents. Share Atlanta runs group support meetings dealing with subsequent pregnancy as well as grief. They offer memorials, grief information, outreach and inservice programs. Their focus in on loss during pregnancy, stillborns and infants who never leave the hospital though they welcome SIDS parents.

Suddent Infant Death Syndrome Alliance, Inc.

The National SIDS Alliance, Inc.) provides bereavement support to families who experience an infant death, risk reduction education to professionals and support for medical research designed to clarify and eventually eliminate SIDS. The Alliance staffs a 24-hour bereavement hotline

The Front Porch of Atlanta
The Front Porch of Atlanta provides a safe and supportive environment that promotes healing for children who have experienced the death of a loved one. Grief support groups are offered to children and their families at no charge.

RAINBOWS
Non-profit international organization offering grief support services and training for establishing grief support groups in schools, churches, synagogues, hospitals or social service agencies. Programs available for children, adolescents, and adults. Over 200 program sites in Georgia.
