MOVIE REVIEW – ICE AGE: DAWN OF THE DINOSAURS
Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs – REVIEW 7. 5 of 10 Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs, the third entry in the popular animated series is a family film that will delight the sweet lovable tykes and keep parents involved as well. Any team Ice Age: The Meltdown is back and just as fun in this installment 3-D. This time from woolly mammoth Manny and friends on an adventure that takes basement where dinosaurs are still alive and where they need to save their friend Sid the sloth, and finally learn what it means to be family. There are lots of laughs and a few moments, stirring the heart on the road are a pleasant walk dinosaurs. Manny (Ray Romano) and his wife (Queen Latifah) Ellie are anxiously awaiting the birth of their baby. With the impending birth, the saber-toothed tiger Diego (Denis Leary) starts to wander lust and experience decides to leave the flock in search of adventure. Sid the sloth (John Leguizamo fool) feeling side decides to leave too, but shortly after, he discovers three eggs huge, back in the herd and waiting to hatch. The eggs hatch and it is revealed that the babies are small T-Rex. The dinosaur may have been taken with his mother and the baby back to their underground world, inadvertently bringing Sid along for the ride. Diego back to help Manny and Sid and other rescue is where the adventure begins, and Ice Age 3 really springs to life. As in other films Ice Age, there are scenes featuring the adventures of Scrat, the prehistoric squirrel, who would do anything for a tassel. This time his attempt was foiled when he falls in love with a female squirrel who shares his love for acorns. During the film they had their own romance going, boy meets girl, they fall in love, boy loses girl, etc., and each stage is a delirious pleasure. All the characters are back and this time we are presented with a weasel-eyed Buck (Simon Pegg), a swash buckling, Indiana Jones type hero who helps them navigate the underworld. Pegg is great in the role and character brings a lot to the proceedings. The two possums introduced into the second film, Crash (Seann William Scott) and Eddie (Josh Peck) are back as well and are as funny as ever. In The Meltdown, the pair won all the scenes they were in and this time the results are the same. The leaders again do a great job. Ray Romano has always perfect nasal, delivery online slowly adapted to a woolly mammoth. I just wish the character displayed a bit more comic sensibilities Romano. John Leguizamo is perfectly sweet and stupid as the sloth Sid and provides the film with heart and heat. Denis Leary is also an excellent job as Diego the tiger, but a little like Romano, I wish the character had a bit more personality Leary. Just a little touch of the fire he brings to his role as firefighter Tommy Gavin on Rescue Me would do wonders here. Except the weasel Buck, there is not much that is new here, but as the old saying goes …. If it is not broke, do not fix it. The Ice Age films are intended to provide innocent fun for a family audience and they do so en masse. Everything about the movie is fun Scrat love story in the zany enthusiasm Buck Pegg. To summarize, Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs is a worthy entry in the popular series that will delight the whole family. I’m sure these endearing characters will return for a fourth adventure and will not become extinct in the near future.
